Built from a $5,000 dare
The SCDRA grew out of Screven Motor Speedway's Winter Freeze, an annual big-money front-wheel-drive race whose purse grew every year until the racers themselves asked for a tour. Today the series runs 10 to 12 events a season, crowns a World Champion, and has staged FWD showcases at Eldora Speedway and Bristol Motor Speedway.
The series leads the division on safety and car reliability while keeping the racing close and the payouts real. Sanctioned and managed by KELCAR Motorsports.
